Outdoor Therapy That Moves You Forward
Sometimes, growth feels like it’s taking forever, like you’re just stuck in the mud. But just like flowers in spring, blooming takes time. Together in our walk and talk therapy sessions at one of these locations →, we’ll nurture that space. Soon you’ll start to see those small signs of growth—before you know it, you’ll be growing in ways you never expected.

Walk and Talk Therapy
I know how powerful it can be to step outside, breathe fresh air, and reconnect with the world around you. But more than that, I know what it’s like to want something different.
You’re not looking for the traditional therapy experience. You know the one: you in one chair, me in another- a stare off with some uncomfortable silences where the walls start to feel like they are closing in? I’ve been there myself, staring at the plant in the corner of my therapists office as we talk through something challenging. I want something different for you.
The ability to move through and process your feelings, emotions, and experiences while you experience nature. That is what walk and talk therapy outdoors can offer. I want you to feel truly heard, supported, and—most importantly—at peace.

Ranann Bell
LPC
I’m Ranann Bell, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Registered Horticultural Therapist (HTR) serving clients in Portland Oregon. Here’s a few highlights you might want to know:
+ Professional Counselor Associate under somatic-based therapist Julianna Vermeys, LPC, LMHC, NCC
+ Graduated with a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University in 2020.
+ Worked as an outpatient mental health therapist intern with TIME Organization in Baltimore, Maryland.
+Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Horticulture from Oregon State University (first to get this degree!)
Beyond my resume, I whole-heartedly believe in a holistic approach to therapy, where nature becomes our guide. Spending time in nature with walk and talk therapy allows our bodies to activate our parasympathetic nervous system, where we feel safe and relaxed. Offering nature based therapy provides my clients with the immense therapeutic benefits of nature in addition to the growth that psychotherapy can facilitate.

Walking Beside You Through Every Season of Life
I get that some days just feel heavier than others. We’ve all been there—those days when even getting out of bed feels like climbing a mountain. It’s okay to move slowly. Nature teaches us that every season has its pace, and you’re allowed to find yours.
